Knitting for Olive Pure Silk Fingering
This 100% pure raw silk fingering weight base is perfect for lightweight summer garments! It is also sustainable produced – the little butterfly on the label indicates that it is produced from silk fibers collected from cocoons after the chrysalises are allowed to mature into moths and escape. Knitting for Olive’s spinning mill follows ethical, technical and environmental standards creating yarns free from harmful chemicals.

- 28 sts and 38 rows = 4 inches on a US 2-3 needle
- Hand wash in cool water, lay flat
In your hands:
Pure Silk has a rustic and uneven look and is less shiny than other types of silk. It is a lightweight 4-ply yarn with no stretch, but it is very drapey.
