Alex learned to knit at a library workshop in junior high. Working her way through knitting funky novelty yarn scarves and origami tote bags, she craved a community of knitters to share her passion with. Ten years later, she found it at Fibre Space and she couldn’t be more excited to join the Yarnista team to help spread the knitting joy. These days you’ll mostly find Alex knitting ginormous shawls and cozy sweaters, indulging her love of contrasting textures. She also dabbles in dyeing, weaving, and punch needle with a constant desire to learn new ways of playing with fiber!
- Favorite yarn: De Rerum Natura and Neighborhood Fiber Co are pretty much always on my needles, but any type of mohair is my guilty pleasure.
