Ready to tackle the steeking scaries? In this class, we will cover two methods to reinforce your knitting so you can cut into your knits without fear. We’ll go over finishing techniques for making your edges look neat.
1 two-hour session
Skills needed:
- Knitting and purling
- Increasing and decreasing
- The ability to single-chain crochet is helpful but not mandatory
Materials:
- DK or worsted-weight yarn
- Scrap fingering-weight yarn in a contrasting color
- US#8 Needles
- Crochet hook: 2.5mm, 3.0mm, OR 3.5mm–you will only need one
- Small scissors
Homework:
Cast on 30 stitches of worsted-weight yarn and work a 5” stockinette swatch. Bind off and bring your completed swatch to class.
