Sip n’ Stitch on Juneteenth

Bring your current work in progress to our community space for a holiday sip n’ stitch. Grab a beverage from one of our amazing neighbors for a chance to connect, unwind, and stitch in our second-floor lounge!

To celebrate Juneteenth, in addition to hanging out with your fellow stitchers, you can read about Alexandria’s Black History. We also encourage you to check out our friends at Manumission Tours, who offer a variety of custom tours that explore Alexandria’s role and impact in Black history.

Some of our neighbors that we recommend:

Eddie’s Little Shop & Deli: Around the corner from us on King Street, Eddie’s features fresh sandwiches and Italian treats

Hypergoat: Locally roasted coffee brewed fresh on Payne Street from a couple who are passionate about their brew

Call Your Mother: A regional favorite, a short walk from the shop on King Street

MidnighTreats: Delicious vegan cookies right around the corner on Payne!

Via Volcán: Single-origin specialty coffee from Panamá, micro-roasted locally

Manumission Tours: Walking tours led by Alexandria Councilman and fourth-generation Alexandrian John Taylor Chapman exploring the legacy of Africans and African Americans in Alexandria.
