Join us for a very exciting Stitch at the Movies! We have reserved a private theater AMC Shirlington, the evening before the official release date. Join other stitchers to watch this fun film.
Join our KAL and wear your cowl to the theater!
We are going to make this simple chevron cowl in June and July so that we can wear it to the theater to keep warm in the AC. We chose this pattern for the chevron, which reminds us of Barbie’s classic black and white swimsuit.
If you prefer crochet, here is a crochet version!
Materials needed:
- Copy of Wavy Gravy Cowl by Caitlyn Turowski
- Approximately 200 yards of MC and 100 yards of CC. Our version uses Wool Dreamers Mota! Grab one of our Barbie themed kits!
- US 8 (5mm) 24″ circular needle or one size larger than gauge needle.
- Gauge Needle: US 7 (4.5mm) 24” circular needle.
- US 6 (4mm) 24” circular needle, or one size smaller than gauge needle.
- Stitch Marker
- Tapestry Needle
** If you want your cowl to be larger and fall around your shoulders, we suggest using larger needles: US#7, US#8 and US#9.
