Absolutely none! Our beginner class is ideal for those who are completely new to the craft or who haven’t knitted in many years and need a full refresher. Students must be 16 and older to enroll.

Materials (all available at the shop for a 10% discount for your first class):
- 
250-300 yards worsted-weight wool, wool blend, or other natural fibre in a light color. We recommend Manos del Uruguay Alegria Grande or Ideal, or Kelbourne Woolens Germantown.
 - 
US #8 (5mm) bamboo or wood needles in straight or circular.
 - 
Darning needle or notion kit/set
 
*We recommend not using metal needles, cotton or acrylic fibres, or very dark colors, as they make the learning process more difficult.

Preparation:
Be sure to come to the shop early enough to purchase your supplies and wind your yarn into balls before the start of class (suggested 15-30 minutes).
