Making Holiday Ornamanets! Embroidery on Knits with Beads with Betz White

Craft beautiful embroidered knit ornaments in this 3 hour workshop with Betz White. Learn to embroider using basic stitches then add sparkle and shine with beaded accents. To complete the projects we’ll frame them in 4” hoops and cleanly finish the backs with wool felt. After you take this class you’ll want to add embroidery and beads to all of your knitting projects!
Homework:
• 3 Knitted swatches in stockinette. Must be at least 5” x 5”, no heavier than worsted weight (can use an old gauge swatch, thrifted sweater scrap, etc)
• Fabric shears
• Optional: Worsted weight stash yarn for embroidery
Supplies provided for class:
- Handout with 3 designs: Snowflake, Snowman and JOY wreath
- 4” embroidery hoop x 3
- Felt backing x 3
- Needles x 2
- 8.5 x 11” sheet of stabilizer
- Access in class to an assortment of yarns, beads, ribbon etc
