Learn to work in the round and make your first hat!
Two 2-hour classes meeting weekly on the same day of the week.
Skills needed:
The ability to knit and purl is required.

- Joining to work in the round
- Increasing and decreasing
- Refresh your knowledge of casting on
- Working in the round on circular and double-pointed needles
Materials:
- Two skeins of Manos Del Uruguay Cardo or 140 yards of bulky-weight yarn. Choose two complementary colors for stripes or color blocking.
- Ring marker
- US#10 (6 mm) 16” circular needle and double-pointed needles
- US#9 (5.5 mm) 16” circular needle
- Copy of Cardo Holiday Hat pattern
**Note: interchangeable needles are not appropriate for hats unless you have a hat-specific interchangeable set that includes shorter tips and cords to accommodate the small circumference of a hat.
