Beyond Basics: Crochet Cowl

The Juniper Cowl is the perfect next step for advanced beginners looking to build confidence and try something new. It’s a simple yet satisfying project that offers plenty of room to explore color combinations while mastering one beautiful stitch. 2 two-hour sessions 

Skills needed:

  • Chaining 
  • Single Crochet

Skills learned:

  • Puff stitch
  • Increases 
  • Foundation single crochet
  • Reverse single crochet

Materials:

  • 870 yards of fingering weight yarn. You may use several mini skeins in any order you choose, just one color for the entire cowl, or leftovers from your stash.
  • US F (4mm) crochet hook, or any size needed to meet gauge
  • Scissors, tapestry needle, locking stitch markers
  • A copy of the Juniper Cowl pattern
