About “A Good Yarn”

Here’s a story for you: a group of craft-curious makers get together every six weeks to listen to an audiobook and unwind via making: knitting, needlepoint, collage. You name it.

How to join:

1. If you haven’t already, join and then subscribe to the Old Town Books page on Libro.fm. You’ll get your first audiobook free!
3. Order your kit for the craft. Choose from one of two tapestry weaving kits we are offering:

January club and project

All levels welcome for this craft experience!

This month’s club is listening to Kevin Wilson’s new book Now is Not the Time to Panic. A bold coming-of-age story that follows Frankie, an aspiring writer, and Zeke, a talented artist, as sparks and creativity fly. The two create a poster that begins appearing across their small-town, sending everyone into panic. Twenty years later, Frankie is contacted by a journalist who is writing a story about the Coalfield Panic of 1996. Might she know something?

Meet ups:

The kick-off meeting will occur at fibre space on Sunday, January 8th at 4:00 PM. This is just a kick-off, we’ll meet to discuss the book later in the month!

Plan to meet back at Old Town Books from 7-8 PM on Sunday, January 29th to discuss the book, to continue working on the kit and to receive help with your crafting if needed.
