Wine Tasting & Dinner with Franklin Habit

Join us for an amazing evening with designer and speaker Franklin Habit, hosted by our neighbors at La Fromagerie. After an amazing one hour presentation by Franklin Habit, we will enjoy a four course wine pairing and dinner.

**Please note that our dinner will likely include fish, meat, cheese and more. Chef and owner Sebastien sources all of his ingredients from local and artisanal sources.  A vegetarian option can be made available if given advance notice.

Our presentation:

B is for Purl: A Brief History of the Knitting Pattern – with Franklin Habit

In the beginning, there was knitting; and it was good. Then came knitting books, and they were good. Except when they weren’t. In this lighthearted, lavishly illustrated talk, learn about where, when and how the first printed knitting patterns appeared;  hear the stories of the pioneering women who made their fortunes catering to the first generations of leisure needleworkers; marvel at spectacular examples of primordial errata; and experience the many joys (and otherwise) of bringing nineteenth-century designs to life.

About La Fromagerie

The perfect place to enjoy lovingly prepared dishes, cheese and meat boards, natural wine and craft beer in a relaxed atmosphere.   We offer an always changing wine list of over 40 wines available by the glass, bottle or flight.

Chef/Owner Sebastien Tavel bases his cuisine fare around fresh seasonal food available from local farmers, particularly the heirloom and forageable produce that help support the biodiversity of our area.

La Fromagerie brings a “farm to table” approach by purchasing directly from farmers or  trusted suppliers. We believe in sustainable and responsible methods of farming, and are proud to support American artisan cheese making.
