Where is Danielle?

Where is Danielle?

Well, up to my eyeballs in cookies, holiday gift preparation and new crafts. My mother and I bake 25-30 different types of cookies (about 8 dozen of each) every year and box them up as gifts for just about everyone that we know. Lets do the math, that is 2,400-3,000 cookies. It takes three to four days of baking and hours to box them all up. The production started over the weekend, as you can see. These are peanut butter and jelly cookies. We always try three or four new recipes out every year. This is one of them. The traditional regulars are nut horns, melting moments, pecan tassies, raisin jumbles, apricot foldovers, and on and on. We committed to 26 types for this year. We have about ten done. That’s why you haven’t seen me blog…

And then I started a new hobby this weekend. I really need a new hobby, about as much as my brother needs to have children. So the new bead store in Old Town is amazing, and I stopped in there with Martha and Michelle. Martha is a beader in addition to being a knitter. She helped ease me into this new hobby. I made three necklaces on Sunday night. Two are gifts, one is for me 🙂
