Visit us this Saturday, October 21st, to say farewell to Trudy. Saturday is her last day as a fibre space yarnista before she transitions into retirement. She has been a truly valued member of our team for many years and will be missed, though we’re sure she won’t stray too far.

Join us on Friday, November 3rd for the first Stitch at the Movies event in the new space! We’ll be watching Birdcage starting around 7pm. Feel free to grab a seat around 6 or 6:30 and don’t forget to bring a bite to eat and your current WIP.
We all know and love Neighborhood Fiber Co., so mark your calendars for the Neighborhood Fiber Co. Trunk Show on Saturday, November 11 from 9am to 5pm. Shop an amazing selection of bases and colors, see countless beautiful samples and even chat with dyer Karida herself!
The majority of our Wool Immersion weekend is sold out, but a few workshops still have a handful of open spaces. Choose Your Own Arrangement – Cabled Hat with Norah Gaughan have openings on Sunday, November 12th from 9am-noon and 2-5pm. Double Brioche Hat with Olga Buraya-Kefelian has open slots also on Sunday, November 12th from 9am-1pm and 2pm-6pm. These workshops are a great opportunity to be part of the retreat and take classes from some fabulous designers.
Coming Up In Our Classroom!
Treat yourself to a new skill this fall with our Introduction to Knitting or Introduction to Crochet classes!
Learn how to work lace and the basics of bottom-up sweater construction in the Lace Cardigan with Short Row Sleeves class starting on Tuesday, October 24th. You’ll end up with a perfect fall cardigan while learning a bunch of techniques. $80.
Move beyond scarves and other flat projects with the Beanie Hat class on Tuesday, October 24th. This is a great second class option that will get you well on your way to your first hat. $50.
Short rows need not be intimidating. The Short Row (Aggregate) Shawl class teaches you how to do short rows that give your knitting some dimension. Armed with two colors, be prepared to make a fun and modern shawl. Class begins on Wednesday, October 25th. $65.
Expand your knitting horizons with the Fair Isle Mittens class beginning on Saturday, October 28th. Armed with three fun colors, you’ll create these classy mittens while learning how to knit Fair Isle and construct a mitten. $80.
The Entrelac Scarf – Purling Backwards course is a great intro to the technique of purling backwards (sure to speed up your knitting) all while learning the unique art of entrelac. This course begins on Saturday, October 28th and you have the option of knitting a scarf or wrap. $65.
Learn the basics of Fair Isle knitting in the Fair Isle Hat – Intro to Fair Isle class starting on Sunday, October 29th. You’ll learn colorwork techniques, how to read a chart and how to do hat decreases while making your own cute accessory for the cooler weather ahead. $65.
