Events
Check out the brilliant colors of Neighborhood Fiber Co. during the Neighborhood Fiber Co. Trunk Show this Saturday, October 1st from 10am-5pm. Karida will be unveiling a brand new base, multiple new colorways and even a new fibre space™ exclusive colorway!
The entire Arranmore Trunk Show by Kelbourne Woolens will be in space through October 10th! Swing by the shop to see these lovely garments and accessories knit out of the beautiful Arranmore yarn, all inspired by traditional Irish knitwear and the rugged landscape of Ireland.
Bristol Ivy will be joining us in early October for four fantastic workshops! All classes offer great information to take your knitting to the next level, regardless of what level you’re currently at. She’ll be offering Reading Your Knitting and Finishing Techniques (great for sweater knitters!) on Friday, October 7th and her Blocking Workshop and Shawl Shapes Workshop on Saturday, October 8th. Slots are filling quickly, so be sure to sign up now to reserve your spot.
Classes
If you’re ready to expand your crochet skill set, check out the Lace Wrap in Crochet class beginning on Wednesday, October 5th. This class will teach you how to do lace crochet and read lace crochet charts, all while creating a beautiful wrap. $80.
Move beyond scarves and other flat projects with the Beanie Hat class on Thursday, October 6th. This is a great second class option that will get you well on your way to your first hat. $50.
If you have ever wanted to learn how to make your own yarn, drop spindling is a great way to get started! Drop Spinning 101 begins on Sunday, October 9th and will get you on your way to making your own extra special yarn. $65.
Up your lace game in the Intermediate Lace Shawl – Mayuri class beginning on Monday, October 10th. You’ll create your own beautiful crescent shaped lace shawl with the shawl’s designer Dee O’Keefe. $65.
Learn the basics of Fair Isle in the Fair Isle Cowl – Pine Bough class beginning on Wednesday, October 12th. You’ll also learn other great techniques and skills including provisional cast ons, the Kitchener stitch and chart reading. $80.
Intimidated by intarsia? Fear not! The Intarsia Crash Course on Saturday, October 15th will get you all the basics while you make a cute two color zippered pouch that’s perfect for storing notions or needles. $40.
Do you have some well-loved handknits in need of mending but no idea where to start? The Darn Those Knits class on Saturday, October 15th is just your ticket to breathing new life into those beloved items! $50.
