If you didn’t know, we have the real deal Santa here in Old Town. Real deal. I will say no more in case the kiddos are reading…but we love him. This year he is at 210 N. Lee Street (in the Arcade) every Saturday and Sunday from now through Christmas. He and the photographer are completely sponsored by the Old Town Boutique District, as part of several city wide events that we do. So if you haven’t gotten your photographs yet, please go see him! (and Mrs. Claus too)
This was Maddy’s first visit to Santa. Of course, I wanted her in something knitted. I decided that the Neighborhood Fiber Co colorway of Woodberry would really “pop” against Santa and Mrs. Claus’ suits. Since the lace or cable panel style A line that I wanted wasn’t readily available already, I asked dear Tanis if she would design something. One of the biggest perks of having a knitwear designer friend is that sometimes you can convince them to design things for you 😉
Here is the dress that Tanis designed, which is now available online! It uses one skein of NFC Studio Sport.
Last weekend we made it to see Santa with her new dress! She loves total strangers since a new person is holding her just about every day at the shop. She really liked Mrs. Claus the most…I think she was partial to the fur collar. What can I say, she likes her animal fibres…
