Beyond Basics: Crochet Beanie

Ready for your next crochet project? In this class, you’ll make a cozy beanie using single and half double crochet stitches while learning how to crochet in the round. It’s a great way to reinforce your skills and try new techniques in a fun, supportive setting.

Two 2 hour classes

Skills needed:  

  • Chaining
  • Single Crochet
  • Slip Stitch

Skills learned: 

  • Crocheting in the round
  • Single and Half Double

Materials:

  • 150 yards of worsted-weight yarn. We recommend Manos del Uruguay Ideal, Wooldreamers Mota or de Rerum Natura Gilliat
  • US H/8 (5mm) crochet hook, or size needed to obtain gauge.
  • A set of locking stitch markers
  • Tapestry Needle
  • Copy of Churchmouse Crocheted Beanie and Cowl, available in print at the shop or available on Ravelry
