Must Make Monday: The Essential Sweater in Kinua Yarns The Flamé and The Skinny

We love simple knits that make a statement! The Essential Sweater by KINUA Yarns features super bulky hand-spun yarn paired with a sumptuously soft Aran-weight yarn at the cuff, collar, and hem. It’s knit top-down with a circular yoke, and features a wide boat neck that will work well on its own or layered over a button-down on particularly chilly days. The cinched-in cuffs and hem create a touch of elegance to the oversized silhouette. Knit on US#15s, this sweater will also work up very quickly so you can wear it all winter long.

This sweater starts with our newest yarn from KINUA: The Flamé. The Flamé is a super bulky hand-spun yarn. The irregular thickness of the yarn results in a lofty and light fabric with a unique texture. The hand-dyed threads of color will weave in and out of your stitches, sprinkling modern pops of colors throughout the sweater. Then, using the Aran-weight KINUA The Skinny at the cuff, collar and hem will structure the edges of the sweater, balancing the thick-and-thin fibres of The Flamé.
