Single-origin wool, American-grown, American-dyed, American-spun – there are so many reasons we love this yarn, and why we’re so excited to have it back in space! (We even picked it for this week’s Must Make Monday for the whimsical and sheepy Ovis sweater.)
Designer Jill Draper sources soft and sturdy Targhee wool from a family-owned and -operated farm in the Finger Lakes region of New York. She then has it dyed in the wool before sending it off to New Hampshire to be spun woolen-style into a round and bouncy 3-ply yarn. Sixteen tweedy, heathered colorways, each named after a street in Jill’s hometown of Kingston, reflect all the vibrant shades of autumn in the Hudson Valley.

About Jill Draper
After graduating with a degree in fashion design and working in NYC for several years, Jill realized she craved a closer relationship with her materials. Leaving the big city for the green hills of upstate New York, Jill now partners with local fibre growers and local mills to create the yarns of her dreams.
