Laura Barker has done it again–a simple pattern where the yarn is doing the heavy lifting, Linen Stitch Stripes is the perfect sweater to play with color. The top-down construction makes this stripey sweater accessible to even new garment makers. The transition between each color is achieved with a few rows of two-color linen stitch, which is a textured pattern achieved through slipped stitches. When done with more than one color, it gives the impression of stranded color work. We love this simple technique for adding visual interest while softening the harsh lines made by regular stripes. Knit in a DK-weight yarn, Linen Stitch Stripes is the pefect weight for a Mid-Atlantic fall or spring. We can’t wait to dream up color combos of our own!

Designed in Miss Babs Yowza (and Yowza Minis), this sweater makes the most of this versatile (and so so soft!) superwash Merino. The pattern was released just in time for our annual Miss Babs trunk show this weekend, Saturday, September 26-27, so you can come pick out your favorite trio of colors. We’ve posted some examples with a little fall flair below, or come check out Miss Babs’ stunning colorways to make your own perfect pairing! We’ll have enough Yowza and Yowza minis on site to match them up in nearly any combo you can imagine!
