Must Make Monday: Whimsically Wicked Wrap in Miss Babs Yummy 2-Ply

The team is preparing for the arrival of Miss Babs and her entire Trunk Show of yarns (September 26-27), and we have been checking out the newest published patterns for Miss Babs yarns. The Whimsically Wicked Wrap by Amy Crumpton was inspired by Broadway’s Wicked (you might have heard of it…) … and if you start now, you’ll be finished before Part II of Wicked, the film, is released later this fall!

Knitted on the bias, the rectangular wrap uses garter stitch, a quirky aster flower pattern at the color changes, and a center “brick road” pattern. The pattern also includes a Design Modification Section so you can customize it as you like! With just enough variation to keep your interest, you’ll have Whimsically Wicked ready to wear in no time.

The Whimsically Wicked Wrap is made for a gradient or fade set of mini-skeins, like a mix of Yummy 2-Ply regular skeins and Yummy 2-Ply Toes! This is one of Miss Babs’ most popular bases, and we understand why. This 100% superwash Merino is soft, durable, and washable, and an excellent base for allowing all of Miss Babs’ incredible range of dyes and colorways to shine.

Heather

A family friend taught Heather how to crochet when she was a child, and she taught herself how to knit about ten years later. She’s had a hook or needles in hand ever since. Heather makes whimsical amigurumi and blankets, but also makes socks, shawls, and sweaters to highlight gorgeous dyes and fibers. She’s excited to join the fibre space community and to help more folks tap into their creativity!
