Must Make Monday: Alex Hood

Must Make Monday: Alex Hood

We have found the absolutely perfect project for this week’s Must Make Monday. Meet the Alex Hood by Pernille Larsen. This deliciously decadent scarf features fingering weight yarn held together with a strand of silk mohair for a soft, luxurious feel. Knit on US 4s, the stitches create a tight fabric that will help combat the worst winter winds – and it features a hood! The piece can be worn as a regular scarf with the hood down, but when things get blustery, you can raise the hood to protect your head or offer an extra layer between you and the wind (if you already have a hood, or might be wearing a hat), The simple ribbed texture offers a complete reversible piece that’s as easy to wear as it is to knit. We think you’ll find this project relaxing and meditative, and it is the perfect accompaniment for extended periods on the couch during this extra cold week.
