Must Make Monday: Gushy Garter Hat

Must Make Monday: Gushy Garter Hat

The Yarnistas can’t resist a good make-a-long, particularly at this time of year. There’s nothing more fun than rewarding the holiday bustle with a quick-finish cast on over the break. Spincycle is currently hosting a Plump-A-Long (with prizes!), featuring a delightful new pattern by Park Williams (her 50th!) and their scrumptiously squishy Spincycle Plump. The Gushy Garter Hat takes simple garter stitch in the round and adds a delightful accent stitch on the side to create some visual interest. Simple and quick, on US 10½ (6.5 mm) needles, this project will fly off your needles. The garter stitch fabric creates a supple, soft, and squishable fabric that is a delight to wear. Designed to be worn with or without a pom-pom, we think that after you knit this, this might become your new favorite hat.
