Freia Solemates & Shawl Balls are here in our newest Birthday drop!

Another birthday custom has landed in space! We are so excited to have this gorgeous custom color in Freia’s Solemates and Shawl balls.  Meet Nebula, a delightful ombré that fades from grey to teal to navy – reminiscent of deep space. As with all Freia yarns, these two bases are completely American from sheep to finished yarn and guaranteed cruelty-free.

Solemates in Nebula

The Solemate kit comes in a set of two identical balls of Shaniko Merino fingering (228 yards each – 456 yards per kit) to make the perfect matched gradient socks. These are so scrumptious we bet you can’t stop at one pair. The cakes come packaged in a clear box – making an ideal gift for the makers in your life (or for yourself!).

  • Three-ply 100% Fingering Weight US Shaniko Merino (mulesing-free)
  • Machine wash cold, tumble dry low (or dry flat)

Shawl Ball in Nebula

Freia Shawl Balls have long been a favorite of the Yarnistas, with a whopping 430 yards of Lucious hand-painted ombre single-ply merino wool all in one single ball. This large pick-up makes for delightful projects requiring only one or two balls of yarn, making stunning accessories. The yarn is just slightly felted in the dyeing process, which means you get a lofty single ply that’s less likely to pill. We’re so excited to see what you make in it!
