Sometimes, something comes across your feed, and it just stops you in your tracks. That was exactly what happened when the Yarnistas saw the Gemini Sweater by Ana-Maria. The bold, graphic pattern paired with modular design. The ability to play with color. The boatneck with drop shoulder silhouette gives a modern update to a classic granny square sweater. We were immediately in love, and we began plotting sweaters. For a bold look, you could do a two-color sweater in black and white (or any other high-contrast combination, such as grey and bright yellow, because who doesn’t love a good yellow look?). To mimic the soft transition in the original, you could pair a gradient kit (or personally selected mini skeins) with a lovely solid. For those of you trying to decide what to do with a yarn advent, this might just be the ticket. For something akin to a stained glass look, you could combine a highly variegated yarn with a high-contrast main color. I highly recommend browsing the finished projects for inspiration. Needless to say, as we started to plot our sweaters we immediately realized we should share this discovery with the rest of you! As usual, pattern details are below along with some recommended yarn choices.
