WoolDreamers is one of our favorite companies for their commitment to revitalizing the wool industry in Spain. Each of their yarns is developed with a thoughtful process and a right heritage of Spanish sheep ranching. This week, we are adding a beautiful new summer yarn: Saona. With a rich blend of Merino, Manchega, and Andulisian cotton, this yarn has the structure to make heritage wardrobe staples with the lightness we love for hot weather.
From WoolDreamers:
Saona is named after the river where our founder’s grandfather, Julian, and his two sons; Teodoro and Ramón, would bring their mule-drawn cart full of wool fleeces. There, they spent the days washing the wool and allowing it to dry on the banks of the river in preparation for carding, spinning, and finally weaving to make blankets in the family mill.
This collection, a tribute to previous generations, features a yarn full of nuances in both its texture and tones.
