Knitting for Olive Pure Silk has landed in space, adding to our influx of spring yarns! We have a complete restock of all of our old favorites, along with some darling new colors! Over the past couple of years, the Yarnistas have fallen in love with the Knitting for Olive Pure Silk – it is one of our absolute favorite non-wool yarns because of its beautiful texture and how easy it is to work with. This 100% pure raw silk fingering weight yarn is perfect for lightweight garments and scarves. It offers a soft and solid fabric with a slightly rustic texture due to the raw nature of the silk. This means that it’s not quite as slippery to knit with! The silk also allows the garments made from it to have a beautiful drape to the fabric and be warm-weather friendly. Pure Silk is also ecologically friendly – the little butterfly on the label indicates that the chrysalids were allowed to escape the cocoon before it was harvested, allowing them to complete their life cycle.
