Yabane cowl and scarf

Yabane cowl and scarf

Olga Buraya-Kefelian just re-released one of her fun designs, this time in De Rerum Natura Gilliatt.
Originally released back in 2012, the YABANE design was inspired by the feathers of Hamaya – the “demon-breaking arrow” that is a decorative arrow sold at shrines during the New Year’s to ward off misfortune and to attract good luck. The geometric look of the scarf is actually based on V-style pleats that occur in the paper folding art of origami. The scarf or the cowl can transform from a neat compact shape into a multidimensional textured accessory, and makes a mesmerizing gift!
Today YABANE scarf has been entirely updated to include more efficient techniques and a cowl version. Video tutorials were also added! The yarn for this project is available at our shop or in our curated online webshop.
