Yarn feature: Kelbourne Woolens Cricket

Yarn feature: Kelbourne Woolens Cricket

This yarn appeared on our shelves late last year, but we kept it a bit quiet while waiting for the pattern collection to drop. Today is the day!

If you’ve ever played with Kelbourne Woolens Lucky Tweed, Cricket is its baby cousin. The same super-soft, rustic look tweed as Lucky, but in a fingering weight. Like Lucky, Cricket is made in Donegal, Ireland, and has the same rich, deep colors with flecks of contrasting tweed. This single-ply is sure to become a favorite for colorwork and textured projects and Kelbourne Woolens has released a delightful series of patterns that show off this yarn to it’s best advantage. We’ve also included some of our own inspiration for you below as well – happy stitching!
