Joji’s La Prairie Cardigan pattern has dropped!

Joji’s La Prairie Cardigan pattern has dropped!

Joji Locatelli is releasing an inspired and colorful new (size inclusive!) pattern just ahead of Vogue Knitting Live (this coming weekend in NYC)! We’re positively brimming with ideas for this creative cardigan.  Featuring cables, a few bobbles, and options to knit it in either a fantastic fade or a solid color, this cardigan will be one engaging project to knit. And, if cardigans aren’t your thing, we suggest checking out Andrea Mowry’s The Daydreamer – we think it would look stunning in a fade!

The yarnistas have been busy making custom kits for this project, and we’re so excited to see how they knit up! They’ve hand picked some gorgeous kits out of the newly arrived Knerd String Fingering and Spun Right Round Tough Sock to create some stunning options for fades – the hardest part will be picking which fade you want to knit.

MATERIALS:

  • Pattern requires fingering weight yarn: 1250 (1540, 1871, 2283, 2647, 3034) yards
  • Fade: 5 colors 1 (1, 1, 2, 2, 2) skeins of each color
  • Included in our kits:
    • 5 colors of Knerd String Fingering (75% wool; 25% Nylon, 463 yards/100 g)

OR

    • 5 colors Spun Right Round Tough Sock (75% wool; 25% nylon, 463 yards/100g)

The kits contain one of each color of a fade. For sizes 4-6, you will need TWO kits. If you don’t want to purchase and entire extra yarn for your size, you can work the project in six colors and make each section slightly shorter. Joji says that she will include instructions for this in her pattern.

Other materials needed (not included)

  • US  2.5 (3 mm) circular, 32”-60” (or size used to obtain gauge)
  • US 2.5 (3 mm) small circumference circular, DPNs, or other needles to knit sleeves (or size used to obtain gauge)
  • Cable needle (CN)(optional)
  • Tapestry needle
