Staple Linen Top
Our newest shop sample is perfect for warm days ahead! We knit up the Staple Linen Top by Joji Locatelli in Handspun Hope Ethiopian Cotton. The cute little tank is incredibly soft in cotton, and the slight texture to the yarn makes a lovely fabric. This would be equally cute on it’s own, or layered over a dress or tee. It works up quickly and just requires a few skeins!
Handspun Hope Ethiopian Cotton is a truly unique yarn, that is also for an incredible cause. Handspun Hope is a ministry working with at-risk women in northern Rwanda. This lovely cotton yarn is laboriously handspun on a drop spindle in Ethiopia by women working for a small cooperative comprised of single mothers. The yarn is then imported into Rwanda where the ladies of Handspun Hope complete the process of dyeing it organically, using natural materials, in the single-ply. Once the yarn is dry, the spinners then ply the yarn with spinning wheels into a two-ply yarn.
And if you love the skirt, you can make that, too! It’s the Soho Skirt knit in Elemental Affects Coastal.
