Soumak Mitts by Olga Buraya-Kefelian
Looking for a perfect travel project? Local designer Olga Buraya-Kefelian has relaunched her Soumak Mitts pattern in two of our shop favorite yarns! By pairing the fun color changes of Spincycle Dyed in the Wool with a solid color of Hudson and West Weld, you will get a truly unique pair of these colorwork mitts. Plus both yarns are from female owned businesses, and made in the USA!
This colorwork project is small enough to travel with you. And, as the yarnistas can attest, watching the colors of Dyed in the Wool shift is a great motivation to keep knitting. Your finished mitts will keep you warm on chilly spring nights. They would also make a great gift!
Just one skein of each yarn is needed to make the pair of mitts. You can find both yarns in shop or on our website. Our yarnistas pulled some of their favorite color combos, and are always happy to help you pick your own! We have the combination that Olga used (Spincycle Dyed in the Wool “Devilish Grin” and Hudson and West Weld “Charcoal.”
