Local designer Dee O’Keefe has done it again! The yarnistas fell in love with her newest design, Sonatine, when she was wearing the prototype in the shop. You can now find this versatile cowlette design on Ravelry! From the designer:
“Sonatine is a stylish, asymmetrical cowl that is a reimagining of my Satie shawl design, as both feature the same Art Nouveau-inspired, organic lace pattern surrounded by garter stitch. Available in two wearable sizes—small and medium—and both one-color and two-color versions, Sonatine is the perfect accessory for those transitional seasons when you need a little something extra to keep your chest warm while wearing an open jacket or a sweater.”
Our yarnista Beth test knit this cowl using two of her favorite yarns, Spincycle Dream State and de rerum natura Penelope. She loves how the garter stitch body shows off the gorgeous color changes of Dream State, and the lace design pops in the round Merino and silk blend of Penelope. She finished her small size cowl in just a few evenings!

This pattern is also perfect for showing off a skein of handspun yarn. We have beautiful hand-dyed fiber from Neighborhood Fiber Co. to inspire your spinning.
