Just in time for cozy and quick cold weather knits, Cardo from Manos del Uruguay has landed in space! This 100% Corriedale wool is hand-dyed by a women’s collective in Uruguay. Cardo is a crisp, resilient bulky-weight yarn in a 4-ply construction. From sweaters to accessories, Cardo gives pristine stitch definition to warm knits that work up in a hurry.
The Corriedale sheep breed was created by crossing fine-wool Merinos with longwool Lincoln sheep, a combination that created soft-to-the-touch wool with a long staple length. It’s next-to-the-skin soft, yet durable so you can wear your pieces season after season.
Cardo is available in a gorgeous palette of 11 shades that play beautifully together. Find your project inspiration in the Cardo Collection, which features garments and accessories designed especially for this unique yarn!
