We are super excited to host Miss Babs and her yarns for an amazing Pop Up event outside in our tents from Sept 24-26. Today we are featuring two more of the yarns that you can shop during this event, as well as the newest pattern samples that will be on display at the event.

Estrellita is a fun choice for glam socks and shawls, with a flash of sparkle running throughout the skein! The Lurex is a silver-colored ply carried alongside the superwash Merino.

The Patterns:
Late July by Jennifer Saliba Bishop
Late July is a top down, triangular shawl knit in a combination of sparkle and mohair yarn. Late July was named for the sweet butterfly stitch used in combination with the lightness of this delicate shawl, reminiscent of a Late July evening sitting outside watching the fireflies and drinking iced tea.

Catawba Falls by Wendy Ory
Catawba Falls Cowl is knit in the round featuring the popular fan and feather pattern updated with an elongated stitch for a more open effect. Estrellita’s bit of sparkle makes this cowl perfect for dressing up your favorite jeans and t-shirt or adding to your little black dress. And if the weather turns chilly, it is wide enough to pull down over your shoulders or wrap around your neck twice.

Care Instructions: Machine wash gentle. This yarn should be dried flat for best results.
The Patterns:
Ribbon Dance Socks
A series of waving, dancing ribbons squiggle their way down these socks. Offset increases and decreases make the fabric twist and turn, and a single twisted rib gives definition to the pattern. These socks are worked from the cuff down. They have a heel flap and a wide toe. This pattern includes both written and charted instructions.

Welcome Friend by Helen Cosgrove-Davies
From the designer:
“As I was designing this sweater, the pattern reminded me of pineapples, a traditional symbol of welcome and hospitality. Knitting has always been a friend to me. The act itself provides comfort, excitement, relaxation, or whatever else I’ve been in the mood for depending on the project. I’ve also made many of my best friends through knitting, so the tiny pineapple figures on this sweater symbolize my welcome for the positive things knitting has brought to my life.”
