Here in space, we are always on the lookout for new tools to improve our stitching experience. We’re excited to introduce you to Floops! Despite their funny name (Floppy + Loops = Floops), these are a seriously useful. Plus, they are lovingly handmade in the beautiful mountains of Vermont.
So what is a Floop? A floop is a flexible stitch marker. These soft loops slide easily from needle to needle – no edges to snag your delicate yarns! They come in a range of sizes and gorgeous colors.
From the maker:
“The idea for Floops was born out of mild to moderate frustration. Mass-produced stitch markers you find on the market today are hard and coarse. Handmade stitch markers are generally lovely but just as ‘blunt’- and equally hard to maneuver. I dread coming across one in my knitting – and having to scramble clumsily over it. Soft lovely knitting, soft lovely knitting and then BANG – yuck – full stop – handfulls of plastic or metal.”
We’re excited to welcome their newest multi-tool – Flox! These simple little tools can do a big range of tasks – it’s the mini tool you never knew you needed but won’t be able to live without. Flox features a bamboo tip on each end with a flexible join in the middle. Twist it into the shape you need, and it will stay there until you you’re ready to move it. You can use your Flox as:
- A cable needle
- A stitch holder
- A stitch marker (simply twist the two legs together to hold it in place)
- A dropped stitch fixer
- A shawl pin
Each set comes with two Flox tools.
