This week, I wanted to take a closer look at the amazing Mrs. Moon Podgy yarn, in particular the “English Mustard” colorway. My staff would lovingly refer to this as “Daniello” (ie grellow) since I am madly in love with all shades of yellow and grellow. We can thank the amazing Ann Weaver for this, as I previously avoided all shades of yellow, thinking that my fair skin would look washed out and terrible against yellow. Ann convinced me to take some risks and start playing with yellow. The English Mustard color of Podgy is about as perfect a yellow as there can be and even better when paired with the soft neutrals of this yarn.
As you can probably tell, Podgy is a super bulky snuggly soft plied yarn. It is perfect for instant accessories. The yarn is made from 80% ethically sourced superfine Merino and 20% Baby Alpaca. English Mustard was one of the original three colors of this yarn. Each skein is 44 yards and $19.95.
