There are under two weeks left until those gifts are officially due to your friends and family. It’s time to start thinking about quick knit and crochet projects in bulky weight yarns! Here are my favorites for last minute gifting (most of which you can see in person at the shop right now)!
1. Swirly Hat
This one is designed for Mrs. Moon Plump, a delightfully soft Merino and Alpaca blend. (77 yards and $19). One is enough to make a hat and a pom pom.
2. The Big Hat
This free pattern is a staple around the shop. We’ve used Mrs. Moon Podgy and Freia Super Bulky. You will need two skeins of Podgy for the hat and pom pom but only one of Freia Super Bulky (87 Yards, 100% Wool, $35).
3. Cecelia Cowl
This cowl uses one skein of Freia Super Bulky and makes a colorful and impressive gift.
4. Wolf Houndstooth Cowl
With two skeins of Mrs. Moon Podgy and 45 minutes, you can make this snuggly bulky cowl. (Podgy is 77 yds. 80% Merino, 20% Alpaca, $19).
5. The Podgy Pompom Scarf
If you’ve been to the shop recently, you’ve probably seen this scarf near the entrance. It is a quick and super easy knit, requiring more pom pom skills than anything. The scarf requires three skeins of Podgy for both scarf and pom poms.
6. Nina Hat:
This free design uses Manos del Uruguay Franca (114 yards, 100% Wool, $36). It takes only one skein to make this quick hat and we have a big variety of colors in stock.
