This spring, I went on a hunt for another Aran weight yarn to add to our shop. I didn’t think that we had enough options in that gauge but was really coming up short on finding the right fit for my shop. Then I stumbled upon the Halcyon Yarn booth at our trade show! I was delighted to learn more about Norumbega, and it has finally arrived to the shop.

Norumbega is a 100% US wool, spun in Maine at a family-run mill. This yarn was originally created 35 years ago by Halcyon for weavers.  Norumbega’s smooth, uniquely pearly twist creates a squishy but durable fabric that is very resistant to pilling. Its warmth, softness, and long-lasting wear make it a great choice for sweaters, jackets, and winter accessories that will last season after season.
