Interpretations is the brain child of designers Joji Locatelli and Veera Välimäki. Each year these friends collaborate on designs across the thousands of miles between Argentina and Finland, building a collection that turns into Interpretations. Working together, the designers work to interpret six different words, and from their individual styles build a cohesive collection of garments and accessories.
This year, to celebrate their five-year anniversary, Joji and Veera have teamed up with 12 independent dyers to create custom colors for this collection. Shop favorite Neighborhood Fiber Co is one of these dyers! Karida and her team have dyed up four gorgeous limited edition colors of Studio Sock (400 yards of superwash Merino in fingering weight). Named for four historic markets in Baltimore, Broadway Market, Cross Street Market, Hollins Market, and Lexington Market, these colors shine in Joji Locatelli’s Separate Ways sweater, a pattern in the Interpretations 5 book.
Full of gorgeous patterns, Interpretations 5 is ready to inspire your spring knitting. It is due to arrive to the shop shortly, so be sure to pre-order it now by emailing or calling the shop! $22.50
