Hi fibre fam. This is, without a doubt, probably the hardest thing I have ever had to write. With a heavy heart, I share with you, that Alex passed last evening. Alex was an incredible light on so many of us. Our fibre space family will miss her deeply.

Alex was at the heart of fibre space for many years, picking up our dropped stitches and keeping us running smoothly. She was a patient and kind teacher and mentor to stitchers and staff here at fibre space. She had a loyal following of students who gained incredible expertise and insight from her. She was also a force! She stepped into a leadership role here, even while fighting some intense health issues. We have a hole in our heart.

I encourage you to share your own stories or memories of Alex here for our community to celebrate her incredible impact. She exemplifies what fibre space strives to be. If you wish to make a donation in her honor, please consider Metavivor or the Smith Center for Healing and the Arts.

Harrisville Nightshades + Spincycle Dream State are basically meant for each other so of course we had to choose Potato Vodka by @theacolman for #MustMakeMonday. The way the colors in Nightshades pick up the colors of Dream State couldn`t be better! And both yarns are entirely sourced and spun the United States!
