Visit us now through September 24th for the Brooklyn Tweed Wool People 11 trunk show. We have all 12 items for you to see and try on, as well as all Brooklyn Tweed yarns in stock for you pick up yarn for your favorite patterns.
Mark your calendars for the annual Miss Babs trunk show happening on Saturday, September 23rd and Sunday September 24th! Shop an amazing selection of Miss Babs yarns in endless colors, without the lines and hassle of a fiber festival. There will even be some new colorways for Fall 2017. Trunk show hours are 10am-7pm on Saturday and 10am-2pm on Sunday (please note that the trunk show ends early on Sunday afternoon to allow Babs to pack up and head home to TN but the shop will remain open until 6pm).
If you feel like you sock knitting skills aren’t quite up to snuff or are just interested in expanding your sock skill set, check out our Sock Knitting Workshop on Saturday, October 14th from 1-5pm with Holly. This workshop covers techniques for starting and finishing both top-down and toe-up socks, as well a variety of heels and how to substitute them into your favorite patterns.
The majority of our Wool Immersion weekend is sold out, but a few workshops still have a handful of open spaces. Choose Your Own Arrangement – Cabled Hat with Norah Gaughan have openings on Sunday, November 12th from 9am-noon and 2-5pm. Double Brioche Hat with Olga Buraya-Kefelian has open slots also on Sunday, November 12th from 9am-1pm and 2pm-6pm. These workshops are a great opportunity to be part of the retreat and take classes from some fabulous designers.
Learn both the basics of bottom up raglan sweater construction and lace in the Lace Cardigan class beginning on Monday, September 18th. You’ll end up with a beautiful cardigan, perfect for fall. $80.
Take your lace knitting skills to the next level in the Intermediate Lace Shawl – Catoctin class beginning on Wednesday, September 20th. You’ll not only learn how to knit a crescent shaped shawl, but also how to do cables and a knitted-on border. $65.
Transform your crochet with the Tunisian Increases – Lace Scarf class starting on Thursday, September 21st. Make a cute scarf while learning how to do increase and lace stitches in this beautiful crochet project. $60.
Learn the basics of stranded colorwork in the Colorwork Cowl class on Monday, September 25th. You’ll make an attractive botanical motif cowl in the process, perfect for the upcoming fall weather. $50.
Learn cables, lace and hat shaping in the Cable and Lace Hat class beginning on Wednesday, September 27th. This class is packed full of great techniques that will help you create a stylish accessory while greatly expanding your skill set. $65.
