We are so pleased to introduce Knerd String to the yarn line up here in space! You all know and love the cheeky bags and accessories from Knerdshop, and your love will certainly extend to owner/dyer Renee’s beautiful hand dyed yarns! Our first shipment features both her superwash Merino DK weight and her Merino/Cashmere/Nylon fingering weight. Both yarns are soft, squishy bases. Renee uses all superwash yarns, so you can be confident that your finished project will be easy to care for. Her merino and merino blend yarns take dye brilliantly to give you rich, tonal colors that highlight practically any stitch pattern.
About Renee and Knerd:
Knerd was born out of a transition period in Renee’s life when she decided to spend more time at home to focus on family and health by leaving the corporate world and working at her husband’s screen printing company. She quickly began printing yarn and knitting themed designs to meld her two crafts and began selling her wares online and at her local yarn shop in Colorado.
Her husband’s print shop closed a few years later due to a major mechanical failure, leaving Renee to decide whether to return to the corporate world or make Knerd her full-time job. Luckily, she chose Knerd and crowdfunded her way to her first trade show. Orders began flooding in, and Knerd has grown into the brand we see today. So where to go from there? Yarn, of course! Renee has now ventured into the colorful world of hand dyeing, using a variety of soft superwash yarns as her base to add even more color and life to the knitting world.
