Next week’s Stitching Survival Skills Wednesday will focus on the kitchener stitch/grafting. Drop by on Wednesday, June 21st from 6-6:45 for a free lesson!
Join us for a summer of learning. We are offering a variety of workshops throughout the summer to help us improve our skillset. July will be focusing on crochet, with workshops in Tunisian Crochet (Parts 1 and 2), Arches cowl crochet lace and broomstick lace. August features a weekend with designer Ann Weaver. She’ll be offering her No-Sew Zipper workshop, Yipes Stripes workshop (sold out, but give us a call to get on the waitlist) and Fair Isle for All workshop.
Join fibre space for a private screening of Wonder Woman on Friday, June 23rd at 7p at AMC Hoffman. We have reserved an entire theatre to see this summer blockbuster, and both stitchers and non-stitchers are welcome to attend. Please note that this movie is rated PG-13.
Regardless of whether you can attend the Wonder Woman showing, be sure to join in on our Wonder Woman KAL! The KAL runs from June 23rd to July 8th and uses everyone’s favorite: Lux Adorna Fun Bundles. Be sure to enter your finished shawl by July 8th to be eligible for one of two amazing prizes as well.
Join us for an opening ceremony kickoff party for the 2017 Tour de Fleece spinning event! We’ll be watching the beginning of the Tour de France on July 1st from 12-1:30 while spinning away on spindles and wheels alike. The entire tour runs until July 23rd and you are welcomed and encouraged to join our team, even if you cannot attend the party.
Looking to expand your fiber crafting to weaving? Check out our Introduction to Tapestry Weaving class starting on Sunday, June 18th to learn all the basics while creating your very own artistic wall hanging. $90.
Give Fair Isle a try in the Multi Color Fair Isle Hat class starting on Sunday, June 18th. You’ll learn all about knitting, finishing and blocking Fair Isle knitting. $65.
The Entrelac Scarf – Purling Backwards course is a great intro to the technique of purling backwards (sure to speed up your knitting) all while learning the unique art of entrelac. This course begins on Thursday, June 22nd and you have the option of knitting a scarf or wrap. $65.
Finishing can make or break a project. The Finish Essentials class on Saturday, June 24th will give you all the basics for finishing a garment so that it truly shines. $40.
Move beyond scarves and other flat projects with the Beanie Hat class on Sunday, June 25th. This is a great second class option that will get you well on your way to your first hat. $50.
Ready to jump into the fabulously fun world of brioche? Learn the basics in the Brioche Cowl class, with sessions on both Tuesday, June 27th and Wednesday, June 28th. $50.
