We have a variety of looms now available for even the most novice of weaver that will help you make everything from cute wall hangings to larger wraps or runners. 15” Schacht Cricket Loom – $195
The generous 15” width of the Cricket loom means that you’ll be able to weave whatever you desire while still keeping your entire set-up compact and portable. This loom comes complete with a threading hook, stick shuttles, 8-dent rigid heddle reed, and table clamps. Check out the links on the right side of this page for easy beginner projects designed for the Cricket loom to get you started. This is the most versatile of all the looms we carry and will grow the most with you as you develop your weaving skills.
Schacht School Loom – $68
This simple frame loom from Schacht is a wide 15” and easily sits on the floor or table for easy weaving. This loom is designed with weaving students of all ages in mind. It is easy to warp and use, helping you to easily learn a variety of weaving techniques. This loom comes with two pick up sticks, a weaving needle and basic instructions.
Schacht Short ($11) and Long ($12) Heddle Hooks
We have both short and long heddle hooks available to help you warp any sized rigid heddle loom. Short hooks are 4.5” plus the handle, while long hooks are 7.5” plus the handle.
Purl & Loop Wee Weaver 8.0 – $26
This little loom is just as its name implies: wee! Designed for weaving coasters or small bookmarks, this loom will get your weaving in just a matter of hours. We have the 8.0 version available, meaning that there are 8 teeth per inch, which translates to 8 strands per inch. Use any weight of yarn you desire so long as it fits in the grooves. The Wee Weaver loom is made out of birch sourced and handmade in Houston, Texas. The loom comes with all the necessary accessories and instructions to get you weaving away.
Hockett Tapestry Loom in Tiny ($35), Regular ($46) and Intermediate ($75)
These handy little looms come in three different sizes, depending on your wants and needs. All three are designed to make beautiful tapestries or to test out warp and weft combinations before embarking on a larger project and each is handmade by artist Jim Hockett. They all have a curved handle to make holding them a breeze. The Tiny offers a weaving area of 3″ x 5″, the Regular offers a weaving area of 6″ x 6.25″ and the Intermediate offers an area of 8″ x 8.25″.
Black Sheep Goods Pop Out Loom and Tools – $30
This adorable loom packs flat when not in use, yet is easily used to make beautiful tapestries to decorate any home. The loom will allow you to create a tapestry as large as 10.5” x 8”, yet is no bigger than a sheet of printer paper. Made entirely out of sustainably-sourced birch, this loom is laser cut to include the loom and all required tools to get you on your way. It also comes with 5 mini skeins of acrylic yarn to allow you to practice your technique.
