Pattern Ideas

Since Mr. Stephen West returned to space the same day this shipment arrived, we thought it would be perfect to pair each base with some of his fun patterns!

Exploration Station is perfect for the Sock base. Having knit one of these myself out of this yarn, I can attest that they are a winning combination. This shawl calls for 4 colors and if you’re having trouble narrowing down the options, start with one or two speckled colorways and pick coordinating solids from there.

The Westknits Mystery Shawl 2016 – Building Blocks begins this Friday and is perfect for Skinny Singles. This pattern also calls for one skein each of 4 colors, but the rest is a complete mystery! If you choose this option, be sure to share your color choices below! If a mystery isn’t quite up your alley, check out last year’s mystery pattern, The Doodler. This shawl calls for 3 different colors and is great for highlighting one or more speckled colorways.

The Sock Minis are great to mix and match with full skeins of Sock. Pick up a whole bunch for Unicorn Parallelograms and let the colors shine. This scarf is finished off with a simple crocheted border and makes for great travel or TV knitting. If you want something a bit more massive, grab a whole bunch of Minis, a few skeins of Sock and some Woolfolk Tynd or Sno in a calming neutral for the Briochevron Wrap. This giant brioche wrap is sure to stun and will let you have a blast mixing the colors.
