This week, we’re featuring one of our shop favorite quick-gift knits. The Marian Cowl by Jane Richmond is a delightfully quick knit that results in a luxurious that almost floats around your neck like a cloud of wool. Knit out of super-bulky yarn on size US 19 needles (76 mm), this project can easily be worked up in an evening or two.
Our own sample, which can be found at the front of the shop, is knit out of the soft and airy Neighborhood Fiber Co. Rustic Bulky. This yarn is a light and fluffy single ply, with soft color variation due to the kettle dye technique. Combined with the seed stitch pattern of the cowl, and you have a beautiful hand knit any gift recipient would cherish.
And, as luck would have it, Karida Collins of Neighborhood Fiber Co. is visiting this Saturday, October 1, and bringing all her lovely yarns to space for a trunk show – making the perfect opportunity to check out all her awesome colors!
