We could not be more excited to share the Mrs. Moon yarns that are new here in space. Both Plump and Plump DK come to us from across the pond in the UK, and both are a luxurious yet affordable blend of merino and baby alpaca. With very little twist added, the yarns remain lofty and squishy, perfect for working up into cozy accessories.

We’ve managed to narrow it down to just a few projects that will work up insanely quickly out of Plump. So even if you wait until the last minute, these projects will whip up in no time.

Swirly Hat by Mrs Moon is a simple lace hat with a big squishy contrasting pompom on top. Three skeins will make two hats, using one skein for both large pompoms. Whether you stick with one color throughout or shake things up a bit, you’re sure to have fun hats to keep and gift.

hat by Mrs Moon is a beautiful crocheted hat that looks equally beautiful with and without a pompom. The yardage requirements are the same as for the Swirly Hat, so you can easily mix and match your gifts. There’s something about making a set for a mother and daughter or two sisters, each using a different pattern but the same colors, that is just too cool. The possibilities are endless!

Don’t forget the hands, though! Jenny Reid has a great collection of 4 fingerless mitt patterns (‘Jacqueline’ Mitts, ‘Twist and Plump’ Mitts, ‘Samantha’ Mitts, and ‘Victoria’ Mitts)  designed out of Plump that make for a great gift set paired with a coordinating hat (maybe match the mitts to the pompom). Again, each pair only takes one skein, so you get a lot of bang for your buck.
