This week we’re focusing on a longstanding favorite: Neighborhood Fiber Co. Studio Chunky. It’s soft, squishy, vibrantly-dyed and chunky weight, making it absolutely perfect for gifts! The tight twist on Studio Chunky gives it excellent stitch definition for all sorts of patterns, ranging from cables to lace and textures. The richness and depth that comes from being hand-dyed also adds a level of uniqueness to the project, making it that much more special.
A beautiful project perfect is Ambages by Lynn di Cristina. This cowl is fully reversible, placing cables on both sides of the work. But don’t worry, Lynn walks you through exactly what to do, as well as how to graft the cables at the end (including those pesky purl stitches) to make the cowl truly seamless.
The smaller size cowl is great for that single skein you have in your stash while the longer infinity loop requires two skeins and is great for anyone who really wants to stay on trend this winter. The longer version also gives you the option of doubling up, providing extra warmth when needed.
