Events
Through the end of March, swing by to check out one of the most popular cotton yarns available: Blue Sky Alpacas Worsted Cotton. This 100% organic cotton comes in a variety of colors. We also have a trunk show of patterns knit out of this super soft yarn for you to see in person. You will be able to “taste” this cool yarn and we even have a free gift! The yarn and trunk show items will only be here for a few weeks, so don’t miss this great chance to stock up on yarn perfect for warmer-weather stitching!
Friday Night Stitch at the Movies returns on April 1st! We will be watching Pretty Woman while munching on yummy popcorn from our neighbors Olio. The movie will begin promptly at 7 but be sure to arrive early to grab a seat!
The 2016 Metro Yarn Crawl will run from April 1st-10th and features 10 area shops (10 days, 10 shops!). Purchase a MYC tote for $15 and enjoy 20% at all participating stores. Check out this post for the full list of shops and more information.
Sivia Harding is coming to space is April and will be offering a variety of fabulous workshops! Beaded Button Bracelets and Short Row Stripes workshops are scheduled for April 8th and the Lace and Beads Workshop , Put a Bead On It Workshop and I-Cord Knitted Jewelry Workshop are on April 9th. Spaces are filling quickly, so be sure to sign up soon.
Mark your calendars for the Hazel Knits Pop Up Shop running from May 4th-8th. You’ll be able to purchase unique kits, one of a kind colorways and the popular big wheels. You’ll also have a chance to meet Wendee, the dyer genius behind Hazel Knits as well!
Susan B. Anderson is indeed coming to space in May! She will be offering the Build a Toy workshop on May 19th, Exploring Shawl Shapes workshop and Top-Down Seamless Dolls workshop on May 20th, and the Design You Own Fair Isle Mitts workshop and Egg to Owl workshop on May 21st. Both Exploring Shawl Shapes and Top-Down Seamless Dolls are currently sold out, but please give us a call to be placed on the wait list.

Treat yourself to a new skill this spring with our Introduction to Knitting or Introduction to Crochet classes!
The Beginner Hat class beginning on March 22 is another great refresher course that helps grow your skills. Review casting on and learn to knit in the round while make an adorable textured hat perfect for the entire family. $65.
The Beginner Shawl – Jimi class beginning on March 22 is a fantastic introduction to lace and shawl knitting. Learn triangular shawl construction, basic lace and knitting two color stripes in this fun class with the designer. $65.
The Crocheted Handwarmers class beginning on March 24th is a great second crochet class. You will get a review of basic crochet stitches while learning how to make three different textures using only single crochet. $65.
Ready to try knitting in the round? Check out the Intro to Fingerless Mitts – Working in the Round class starting on March 30th. You’ll learn the basics of knitting in the round on double pointed needles while creating a cool pair of fingerless mitts perfect for the transition into spring. $60.
The Top Down Raglan Sweater is a perfect first sweater course. You’ll learn the basics of raglan sweater construction while knitting a cute seamless sweater that sized for the entire family. $80.
We all make mistakes, but the key to becoming a better knitter is in part learning how to fix those mistakes. Check out the Fixing Mistakes in Lace and Colorwork class on April 2 as a great intro to making your knits even more perfect. $40.
