Project of the Week: Sivia Harding’s Rainshadow

Project of the Week: Sivia Harding’s Rainshadow

With today’s lovely delivery of the Fiberists Franklin delivery, we are starting to plot our supplies for the upcoming Sivia Harding workshops here in space!

The Rainshadow shawl is a short row masterpiece and a great opportunity to work in two different colors. If you require some short row skills to make this, be sure to check out the workshop on Friday, April 8 from 2-5 pm.

Our recommended yarn:

The Fiberists Franklin – 80% superwash merino/10% cashmere/10% nylon and a generous 496 yards per skein of fingering. $40

You will also need some beads! Hit our neighbors at Potomac Bead just a block away for 390 size 6 seed beads or 4 mm magatama beads.

Style it:

If you choose neutrals, this shawl works well over bright camis for spring or summer. Choose two bold colors to make a statement piece to wear around your neck on cold spring days.
